Justin case
I've always had problems with aux cables. Usually having to replace them around every year. It never used to be a big deal since they were plugged into aftermarket radios. I put the leptronix in my car around march and the cable is already screwed. Im just looking for suggestions for a high quality cable that wont make me have to take my radio apart every few months to replace it. Thanks! Bellagio
I've been using a Monster Brand Aux cable. A little pricey but there's in interference and it's sounds very crisp no matter if it's plugged to my EVO, iPod, Sony MP3 player, or built in Media center. Moderators BarManBean Posted August 6, 2012 Moderators Share Posted August 6, 2012 I don't understand how you're blowing through cables. I buy cheapo's from radioshack, abuse the piss out of 'em (leave 'em dangling all over, stuff them in the cubby, etc.) and have not experienced any failure. Spending money on expensive cables is a waste of money IMO, and most testing proves that to be the case AFAIK. Bellagio
Oh also forgot about RadioHack offering a lifetime warranty on cables, connectors, etc... for really cheap. Just throw that on the final cost and you've got aux cables for life!!! Doesn't fix having to rip the center apart all the time though...
StoplightAssassin
easy solution. buy the 6ft radio shack cable. then buy a 6 inch cable. when the audio starts getting bad, all you'll have to do is replace the 6inch cable it's what I do and it works
Nubie
walmart had some fancy super thin one that was steel braided. Dont remember brand but it was amazing.
StoplightAssassin
it's not the cable itself, the soldered connection at the jack becomes degraded after time from constant plugging in and unplugging from your device. you can re-solder it, but it's tough to do in the car. and if you pull it out, you might as well put in a new one anyways.
