05 LGT 5EAT Fluttering noise on startup?

Recommended Posts

Every morning for the past three months my car has been making a fluttering noise. Bad turbo? Only happens in the morning, every other time during the day, car starts up without the noise. Gonna take a video tomorrow morning.

I also believe this is normal. Was evident on my '09 5MT on cold starts. Didn't hear in much on the '05 5EAT until I changed out the catted UP for a catless one. Now I hear it on cold starts again.

Like scooby said, go ahead and post the video but I don't think you need to lose sleep over it.

Here's a video of what it sounds like guys. Sorry about the delay. I noticed that if the AC is on the noise is loader

Ok so I got a recording from under the car.

Taking the car to cobb tuning to have them look at it. Hopefully they won't charge much and it's not a bad thing. Your opinion would be great. Seems like it might be a Rod knock. The noise only happens on the morning startup after the car has been off overnight. Currently at 124900 miles. Using Rotella 6 5w-40 with OEM filter. STi Catless UP and everything else is stock.

Video was taken with phone under car by front driver side door

This was taken this morning, I placed the phone on the intake tube by grill.
