9 Sec Turbo Honda Civic? VIDEO Inside.

Recommended Posts

^ Hondas never get a break!

Its not that they don't get a break its just the fact that they are silly. You could get many other cars into 9s for less money because they are simply better cars with better powerplants. Yes you can make any car fast and pretty much any car run 9s with the right amount of money. Did you also notice the white car was trapping 150mph which is pretty fast so I give it props for having good power to weight but the car is not running to its power potential. Meaning a car trapping 150mph that hooks super hard can run very highs 8s.

Guy likes car X, has a goal, and money for said goal.

Anything beyond this is basically just like any other subjective argument about favorite sports, etc. It's basically our primitive drive for conflict and to support our own tribe.

9 second Civic. That's cool. I'm gonna go back to eating my sandwich now.

What a lot of Honda owners that mod them are convinced of is basically Honda stuffs high horsepower engines in all the cars they build, then effectively neuter the power output down to, say, a quarter, by adding a super restrictive intake and exhaust.

Civics really pack 300HP engines, but that damn intake and exhaust takes it down to 100HP.

What honda fan bois are really convinced of is that a engine with rods as thick as a number two pencil can support 30psi from just about any turbo for decades.

you gut out any car, put a forged block in it, large turbo getting 35psi and all the other goodies, you can do the same exact thing, its not worth it in a civic

If your only goal is to make it fast on a strip then why put the same motor into a heavier, more expensive platform?

Seems like it would be MORE worth it in a civic.

Or is the issue with FWD?

I think it's awesome that it looks mostly stock and can rip those kinds of numbers. Not saying I would trade my heated seats and AWD for one, but I respect it and think it's cool the guy likes his car.
