Sticky Master Switch

Mine did the same thing years back before the dealer replaced the whole control under warranty after it stopped working.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

A common problem. All that happens is that the grease in there wears out and stops lubricating it. Don't spray contact cleaner in there whatever you do, as that will eat all the grease and make it even worse.
