ziptiecloud
Do you guys take off with the blue light shining? I would sit in the spot at first and wait for the oil to 'warm up', but now I just stay out of boost 'till then.. what do you do?
No DRFT
I don't know. My '05 doesn't have that light. Rule of thumb is let the engine idle a few minutes and slowly drive the car until it warms up. Also, stay out of boost until everything is at operating temps. I have no control over drippie.
08SpecB_DE
I've only had the car a week now, but I wait until the light is off. I probably always will. This is my first turbo car, so I am babying it. Not trying to thread jack, but is it necessary to let it idle before shut down to cool the turbo even after normal driving?
No DRFT
Not really necessary. The coolant does a good job with heat dissipation. Although, after a long and hard drive I like to let it idle a bit before shutting it off. Old school I guess. I have no control over drippie. 08SpecB_DE
I figured the blue light was for coolant since its in the temp. gauge pod. I'm more concerned about oil on warm up than I am on coolant. Just my personal preference.
Drew888
Personal preference aside, that's exactly what you should be more concerned with. [URL="http://legacygt.com/forums/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1586"VbGallery/URL]
