FloydLegacy
My roommate has a 93 Legacy L and just until recently he can't open the tailgate, from the outside or inside. We both tried to push and pull at the same time but nothing. The first thing we notice is that the outside handle on the tailgate doesn't move. It seems to be in the open position like right when you squeeze it to open it from the outside. It also doesn't seem lose (the tailgate handle) We think the cable maybe broken and we can't figure out how to fix it. He can't afford to bring it to a dealer so thats not an option. PLEASE POST YOUR ADVICE HERE. THE MORE THE MARRIER. Thanks you. Brian
IwannaSportSedan
Sounds like its time to crawl in to the back, and remove the interior trim panel, and see if you can get to the cable and pull it from the inside... Then it would be time for new or "junkyard special" parts.
FloydLegacy
I kinda knew that it might come down to that. i just hope i don't screwup the trim. Anyone have a pic from the service cd showing the points i need to removed and maybe the parts that i might need to replace, cable, handle, etc. Thank you.
