I did a search looking for this and cant find any. does anyone know if the side airbags can go off? how do i disconnect them and the heated seat wire? im sure theres just a few bolts to remove the seat, but its been a longtime since ive done this and now cars are more advanced with side airbags in the seats and whatnot. please any info would help. trying to save some money and not pay for an install. thanks

Disconnect the battery, then step on the brake for about 10 seconds to use up any left over juice in the system. Then have at it. I've never pulled the seats out of a '10+ Legacy, but it should be fairly easy. Most likely 4 bolts, and a wiring harness (with probably 5 or so connectors).

When I pulled them out of my '05 LGT, it was very straight forward. Undo 4 bolts, tilt seat back and you'll see the wiring harness.

By the way, you say you're trying to save money and not pay for an install, what are you installing?

He has JL comps in the front and JL 6W3 subs in custom spacers in the rear doors, plus a 3-channel JL amp and an aftermarket HU (canKt remember those models off of the top of my head).

I have been trying to help him via text message but got behind on replies.
