I remember seeing someone mention that 08wrx exhaust downpipes fit the legacy. Any truth behind that?
fahr_side
'08~'11 WRX is on the same platform as the '05~'09 LGT, which is why so many parts are common, including the downpipe. Yes, it fits. The 3G WRX is basically a 4th gen LGT with the rear suspension from the 5th gen, a cheaper interior and funky bodykit. TRSCobra
Looks a lot like the CNT DP.
fahr_side
Looks a lot like the CNT DP. Tsudo and CNT are both copies of the Invidia DP. AZP Installs
To be honest I wouldn't purchase any knock off company. CNT as well as many other cheaper companies are just that. Cheap. They don't fit well, often times will leak, and are more head ache than they are worth. Like people have said there are plenty of options since the newer WRX shares many parts. Just buy something decent. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us. fahr_side
makes sense. any suggestions? ive seen one or two invidia catless dp's with crackes near the flange, is that common? Never heard that before. It's a very thick and heavy one-piece cast bellmouth and flange. Very happy with the part. AZP Installs
makes sense. any suggestions? ive seen one or two invidia catless dp's with crackes near the flange, is that common? We've never had an issue with the LGT Invidia parts. The V1 WRX stuff had a few problems but they had revised the designs. Otherwise we recommend Cobb as again we've used their products and never had seen a flange crack or something break. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us. chutrain
I have the Invidia Up and Downpipe and they are quality pieces. Their quad tip catback, though quality looking piece, fit very poorly.
goneskiian
And I have a CNT DP that fits great and is a quality piece. They also stand behind their product (which may or may not happen with an Ebay seller). The first DP I got had some excessive rust on the rear flange and they swapped it out lickety split. rad.rac3r
CNT sounds pretty trustworthy thusfar. I'll probably end up going with them being im not sure how long ill hold onto this car, so no reason to invest much more into it; or atleast anything substantial.
