Egan
We picked up our LGT sedan yesterday with about 40 miles or so on it from the dealer trade. Within 10 miles, the cruise control light started blinking and the CEL came on. I pulled the code and it gave me P1153 Front O2 sensor high input. Any ideas on what would cause this? Bad O2 sensor from the factory? My wife is taking it into the dealership this afternoon, but I'm just curious what might have been wrong.
mach_six
I hear Subarus have a problem with O2 sensors or maybe sensitive. My Forester had an O2 sensor replaced but at 11k miles.
Egan
The dealer replaced the fron O2 sensor and so far everything is good. They said they had never seen one come bad from the factory. It was an intermittent problem and is hopefully fixed.
devobuzz
I got a P2097 "rear cat system too rich" at about 30 miles. They replaced the FRONT O2 because it was bad - flooding out the rear O2. Has been fine since (6K). Ralph
