stealthasn
Ok, I was having major misfiring issues and ruled it to be the easiest fix as the plugs, wires and coil. Got those changed and for about the first 10 minutes or so the car would actually stall if i started to brake for a stop sign or a turn. Popped the hood and made sure everything was hooked up and not loose, no issues. It seems to have gone away for now, is this something to be concerned about, or is it nothing unless issues comes back? When it stalled it did not trip any CEL codes however. Max Capacity
What year car ? I'm guessing its the o-rings on the intake manifold to TGV's. My 05 did the same thing like so many others on here, seems to happen when its cold out. When you see the new o-rings, ($20.00) next two the old ones you'll understand the problem. The test is to start the car spray start fluid at the joint where the intake and TGV's are. if the idle increases, that's the leak. I think only the 09's came with the new o-rings 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. From what u posted here, it appears to be a non turbo car. If so, my guess is that it is a case of one of the plugs not being gapped properly (na cars need the gap set on the plugs) or one of the wires is not fully seated. Very common. -mike http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpghttp://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/141039922.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly as We carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us.
