STEDLY
My new Legacy GT's 12 volt power outlets are off when the key is off. They need to be "hot" all the time for my gps and cell phone charger. Any suggestions. Thanks.
mwiener2
why do you need your gps to be on when the car is off? gonna need to do some wiring to get any of them to have constant power or install a completly new power socket. NutBucket
That's standard for Japanese cars. Never seen one that wasn't wired as such. Best bet is to run a couple wires to the battery (don't forget the FUSE)
STEDLY
Thanks. I'll work it out. GPS shuts off or goes on internal batteries when power is cut off. I am in and out of the car many times a day and don't like to take the time to reset it each time.
PGT
don't forget to wire in switch to shut power off or just unplug it once you park the car for the day. Otherwise, you might not be able to start it in the AM.
Leonardo
I might do this to the one in the armrest.
PGT
I'd like to do it to the one I installed in the cargo area. What's the point of having a 12V cooler if it shuts off when you leave the car for a few minutes? Some have battery packs in them, but they weigh 15lbs empty.
