m sprank
After a few requests from members on how the fuel rails run I decided to take some pix. I dont run the OEM rails, so I laid them out with the manifold and tried to display how they run and connect to the manifold. I also tried to label the hoses and fittings you will find. You can swap injectors without removing the manifold completely. It is not the easiest, but can be done. Hopefully these pix help members understand what they are up against and maybe what goes where when putting it back together.
m sprank
First set of pix. Details of the fuel rail and then sitting with the manifold. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86496&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277220998 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86497&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277220998 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86498&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277220998 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86499&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277220998 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86500&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277220998 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86501&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277220998
m sprank
Details of the manifold and connections. Then how the FPR goes together. Not a whole lot to it. But when it is under the manifold it can be confusing. Any questions just post them up or shoot me a PM. Hope this helps. -Mike http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86502&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277221098 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86503&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277221098 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86504&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277221098 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86505&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277221098 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86506&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277221098 http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=86507&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1277221098

m sprank
Actually many have been posted before. I am going through the forums and trying to place all my write ups in one place so they dont get lost. I am paying for this space on the server, might as well use it for more than adds. Trying to make a "tech info" area out of my vendor forum.

Guest
Nice pics. It is interesting to see the difference in FPR location and design on 07-09 topfeed vs 05-06 sidefeed (I was aware of it from diagrams but haven't seen up close). 07-09 cars are missing fuel bypass valve, present on 05-06 (it's part of the FPR assembly mounted on the strut tower). I understand the idea of it is to not circle fuel thru the fuel rails on the hot engine, thus keeping the fuel cooler. 08-10 STI, which also has top-feed rails, went to LGT's 05-06 FPR location and design with bypass valve on the strut tower. Earlier years of STI, even the 07 with top-feeds have the FPR on fuel rails, but on the opposite side of 07-09 LGT. It's crazy how Subaru keeps changing/tweaking things like that.
