And............ Ice Silver Metallic vs Silver Metallic

It's like the silver that was on my 08 impreza. The wheels are also like the ones that came on my 08 2.5i premium.

Was everything installed with no modifications needed?

Not that I want to hijack this thread, but we do not have the cover under the radio compartment. So my question would be the other way round: do You have an idea what I would need to add that cover (the one You have stock) ?

=> EURO VERSION (just refer to the space under the radio)

=> USDM VERSION

Only the premium and GT models have that cover. My dash looks like yours.

well actually mine is like this (with a different A/C control panel, the radio is the same as the link before):

and I would want to transform it like this (with the GT/premium cover):

Thinking of pulling the trigger on this, but the japanparts website says the cupholders are smaller than the USDM ones - can you measure the size vs. the standard ones? (I am guessing they work with pretty much anything other than the huuuuuge cups, but want to find out before ordering, rather than after!)

Everywhere else besides the US would probably have smaller cup holders or even no cup holders at all....because we are considered "fat ass" Americans and our supersized everything.

Rather use the cup holder for storage since there is a cup holder in the door. I'm going to pull the trigger on this.

Wait a second...how will the JDM cup holders work for an A/T for a USDM? Cars are right hand driven in Japan so wouldn't the shift from auto to manual mode be "left to right" instead of "right to left"?

TTG, how did you do this mod considering this? Unless the trim piece for the shifter is separate as well.

The actual size of the cup-holders are the same but the door piece is somewhat on the way which limits the area just a bit.

But overall, whatever fits in the current cup-holder will also fit in the JDM piece.

That area will remain on your car as is..... What you need is the outer trim and the cup-holder assembly.

Talk to Yuki from japan parts and he will know the two pieces you need.

Here are a few fotos of the EURO/ JDM cupholder. As You see it has a divider in order to use the compartment, or alternatively to use it as cupholder.

The compartment measures a total of 165x80 mm, with the divider the single cupholder dimension is 73x80 mm.

Hope that clears evtl. doubts.

...and just to frefresh my issue ;):

Does anybody have the Subaru-part number for the front dash compartment (piece #13 in post Nr. 34) ?

For how I use the compartments, the front one would serve me to be closed.

The center one could also be a completely open compartment (so not as cupholder).

The only "cupholder" I use (sometimes) is the bottle holder in the doors.

Never used the center as cupholder, as even small bottles (0,5 l) often get in the way when I move from armrest to shifter.

I suggest that you start a new thread about your request since it is not specific to Ice Silver thread.

You will get more visibility that way.

So another quick question - which color did you purchase - they have two different silvers - for the cupholder there is "silver with lend" and "silver without lend" - which one do we need? (I have no idea what "lend" means for the color) - I asked japanparts and they said they didn't have pics to compare, so they weren't sure...

Silver without lend. Got this as well.
