wow... Over a $1000 in parts...

Recommended Posts

Way too easy to pull out the plastic and order shite! I blame Subaru 100% for making the car so tempting to mod! :D

I know others have suffered the same fate. Just seems it is so much tougher to resist with it comes to a Subaru turbo car, especially with so many goodies out on the market already that make such noticable gains.

Compared to my friends with European vehicles, parts are cheaper and gains are greater, much more versus my NA friends (330i, A4 2.8 Quattro), less so but still a bit better than the turbo friends (1.8T VW).

And as far as braking and suspension goes... Methinks the right purchases will make a huge difference. My gawd, I love this car!!!

I have to say I agree with you. I have owned 2 Audi A4s, 4 VWs, multiple other cars, and I have to say I am in love all over again.

Don't get me wrong. I still have my affinity for Vee Dubs - as I have a 2004 1.8T 4MO Passat in the garage - slightly modded ;). I also like my Audis and BMWs as well, but the fact of the matter is, I cannot touch this power in a new one of those for this kind of money. Straight out the box I am 20K less expensive (S4) comparitively and the mods are less expensive - with the car seemingly in tune with the aftermarket....

I too sir am in love with this car :D

Much....much more than that, but if that is your cap then try out the following:Cobb Ap Stage 1 93map, lightweight pully kit, performance filter & rear sway;) Those upgrades will take you about a 100.00 over that but it is a great package for the $ Get in on the Unothodox group buy on the pulleys it's worth the $ (car rev's so much better):)
Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!

I've just done minor stuff but passed the $1000 mark.. Oh and Subaru makes this car a b!tch to mod compared to the WRX. Everything takes more effort to do it seems. It's obvious that the Legacy GT is not the rally car platform lol.

You should try a 2004 4MO Passat. The Legacy is cake compared to that.

I hear you beanboy, just laid down $645 for the cobb ap a week ago, only other thing I have bought is new rims and tires. So I have spent about $1800 aprox. Looking at the areo grill and some other little things to finish off my spending spree... ALL ON CCARD! blaaaaaa! Oh well I wont even get into what I spent on my WRX.... Im still paying off some ccards with WRX stuff on it! If you want my opinion... save for the stuff you want otherwise you car is just going to cost you SO much more than it should.

I have to agree, coming from a Volvo, the Subaru is a bargain in the aftermarket

Chip tuning = Subaru $645 / Volvo = $1,450

Downpipe = Subaru $600 / Volvo = $1,400

IC Upgrade = Subaru $798 / Volvo = $1,550

Some days I miss the Volvo, but I dont regret my switch to Subaru.
