DGMwagon
Any recommendations for a good independent shop in Calgary? I'm tired of below average service for above average prices from the dealership, especially now that the car is a few years old and out of warranty. Any help appreciated. katalyst
is there something in particular you need done for the vehicle? a lot of guys on WSC (western canada subaru club) have given VEX performance good reviews, they recently moved to calgary. http://www.vexperformance.com/Contact_Us.html not sure if you're looking for a more performance oriented shop or just good reliable indie mechacnic. rice_rocket
Yeah, what do you want done? I have a bunch of good friends that do work on the side if it's something special..
DGMwagon
Nothing exciting, just have a few things that need done. Every time I go into the dealership for work they screw it up. I stopped going for oil changes after the spilled oil all over the engine and it stunk for a few days, also got oil all over the inside of the car. And the last time I went in they disconnected the wiring harness to the hatch and forgot to re-atatch the rubber seal leading to a leak (found 2 weeks later) not to mention the car barely made it out of the parking lot because they screwed up the idle. Sloppy work for a dealer?!? Guess they don't want my business, I won't even buy parts there anymore.

DGMwagon
I can pretty much guarantee you won't find me in a Kia dealer any time soon, I'd rather take the bus.
