Blameless
Hey I am doing some mods to my leggy and wanted to increase the size of the inlet pipe but realise that this would throw out the calibration of the mass air flow sensor. I am getting it a retune but before I start fabricating parts I wanted to know if it can it be re calibrated to measure a different volume on the std computer? thanks
NSFW
There's a table in the ECU that translates the voltage from the sensor to an air flow measurement (grams of air per second). If you change the tube that the MAF sensors sits in, that table needs to be revised. If you're getting a tune, that's something the tuner will take care of. If you want to get into tuning yourself, it's a pretty good first project. It's not hard, but it does take some time. If you are familiar with Excel (spreadsheet) that will help a lot.
