The Subaru Owners Event for this year will be a two-day event at Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC. It will be hosted by the South Carlolina Region - Sports Car Club of America and Subaru of America. We're still working out a lot of the details and we'll post the registration info as soon as it's available. Here is a quick run-down of the details. Subaru Owners Appreciation Event Autocross, Car Show & Track Attack Challenge Hosted by South Carolina Region – Sports Car Club of America and Subaru of America Date – July 16th & 17th 2011 Site – Carolina Motorsports Park - Kershaw, SC Format – Saturday & Sunday: Autocross – Open to Subaru Owners & SCCA Members Super-Star Autocross Challenge – End of Day – Subaru Only Performance Driving Event – Subaru Owners Only Track Attack Challenge – Subaru Owners / Subaru Performance Shops Only Track Attack Shootout – End of Day – Subaru Only 2011/2012 New Subaru Ride-Alongs Kart Racing on the Carolina Motorsports Park Premier Karting TrackInsurance – Event will be sanctioned and insured by the Sports Car Club of America under their Autocross, Time Trial & Performance Driving Experience coverage, copy of which will be supplied to Subaru of America at least one week prior to the event. Event Format – Two day Autocross, HPDE, ‘Track Attack’ & Car Show. The Autocross will be open for all makes of vehicles. Registration limit for the autocross will be 175 drivers, of which the first 75 spots will be reserved for Subaru drivers (no limit on the number of Subarus – but it is first come first serve after the first 75 spots are full). Format for the autocross to follow past ‘Subaru Challenge’ events – a set number of runs for all competitors and ‘Superstar Challenge’ at the end of the day for the top Subaru drivers. The HPDE will be open only to Subaru vehicles. Registration limit for the HPDE will be 25 cars. Format for the HPDE will be a certain amount of track time with instructor and at least two classroom sessions. The Track Attack will be open only to Subaru vehicles. The top Subaru ‘Tuner’ shops currently competing in Time Attack style events will be encouraged to enter this part of the event to showcase the ultimate in high performance Subarus. The registration limit is TBD. Format will include open practice time, competition sessions that will focus on single fastest lap time and an end of day shootout that will be scheduled to give all other competitors/spectators of the event a great show. The car show is open to any Subaru owner. Prizes will be awarded for multiple categories. There is no registration limit – all are encouraged to participate. Tentative Schedule of Events: Friday July15th @ Carolina Motorsports Park 5:00 PM – 9:30 PM – Event Registration & Course Setup For Saturday Autocross 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Subaru Owners Social (Light Refreshments Provided by SOA) (New 2011/2012 Subaru Vehicles on Display) Saturday July 16th @ Carolina Motorsports Park 7:00 AM – CCR Core Worker Check-in & Meeting 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM – Event Registration 8:30 AM – Driver’s Meetings 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Autocross (West Course) 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Track Attack Challenge, PDE & Ride-Along (East Course) 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Super-Star Autocross Challenge (West Course) 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM – Track Attack Shootout (East Course) 6:15 PM – Awards Ceremony 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM – Social (Light Refreshments Provided by SOA) (New 2011/2012 Subaru Vehicles on Display) 7:00 PM – Course Setup For Sunday Autocross Sunday July 17th @ Carolina Motorsports Park 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM – Event Registration 8:30 AM – Driver’s Meeting 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM – Autocross (West Course) 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM – Track Attack Challenge, PDE & Ride-Along (East Course) 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Super-Star Autocross Challenge (West Course) 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Track Attack Shootout (East Course) 5:15 PM – Awards Ceremony I know this is pretty jumbled, I pretty much copied and pasted the email from the folks as Subaru. I'm sure as always there will be some sort of giveaways and alot of cool Subies. Come on out and check out the event even if for one day or a few hours.
