tailgatewagon
Found a a car at the local subie shop that had manual climate controls and since my brother in law works there i got a good deal on all the parts. i striped the manual climate harness from the donor car and put it in my 2.5lgt that had auto climate control. there were quite a few wires that had to be spliced but the way i did it nothing that couldnt go back to stock in an afternoon. anyway ill add a full right up if there is any interest in doing somthing like this. parts used from donor car. Heater core box manual heater controls climate control harness from donor car parts removed from 2.5gt(auto climate car) heater box. auto climate control box. auto climate control modual http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=US#/profile?user=SubieRodz as of now the sterio is in all the wires have been redone so that they are the proper length and excess connectors removed climate controls are working as desinged and all lights work and dim like they should
tailgatewagon
here are some pix of the dash out but every thing under the dash still in. notice the instrument cluster is still in the car wont run without it. and the radio because with it unplugged the heater would run on warm. all by it self http://inlinethumb37.webshots.com/26532/2165854970042342163S425x425Q85.jpg and a pic with the heater core, blower box and crash beam out. http://inlinethumb23.webshots.com/48662/2779068500042342163S425x425Q85.jpg

windzilla
Would this swap allow one to put an aftermarket stereo into a limited 05 lgt? I recently bought one after my week old (to me) legacy SE was totalled when someone hit me from behind. I had just installed an aftermarket double din stereo and have all the needed parts. Besides that, I prefer the manual controls. -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums Semper ubi sub ubi

zmarko
Would this swap allow one to put an aftermarket stereo into a limited 05 lgt? [/url] Yes, but so would one of these after you read this thread with a LOT less work (although you'd have auto climate controls). Props to the OP for tackling this though! Pretty daunting task! tenazrael
Son of a gun... how is this thread not stickied somewhere. I've found at least 8 threads asking this same question and people responding with terrible answers. It took me almost 2 weeks to find this information. The answer is yes, but takes some serious work - That's SubieRodz video that he uploaded... however in his original post, the youtube URL got screwed up. Anyway, OP, great job! Most people may not attempt to do this, but wow, that is some incredible work to make it happen.
