Outback on the track

Well, here are some shots of the outback with Cusco Zero2 coilovers, Perrin Sways and Cusco Type II lower arm bars. I am running Cobb Stage 1 right now, doubt I will change that, but really want an exhaust simply for the fact that I had trouble hearing the engine on the track with my helmet on...hit the rev limiter a couple of times in the twisties.

I ran against a bunch of cars, and held my own. The allroads could not keep up through the corners or on the straights at all, but they could out brake me. Brakes are the weakest point of this car now. I just want better rotors and pads...so if anyone knows upgrades using the stock calipers...let me know, I WANT THEM!!!

there were 4 STis at our track day, 6 Porsches, a Caterham Super 7 (frickin fast), a slew of BMWs, Audis, and VW. Only one accident where someone pushed too hard and went into a tire wall, but that is what you get when you drive someone elses car that has lesser brakes

enjoy the pics

cheers

jon

ps...this was my FAVORITE car out there...2005 Porsche GT3, that car ran all day, not brake fade, and got stronger as it went. Truly amazing

Could you measure the height above ground just behind the front mud guards for me? I'm trying to determine how much lower it is then stock. I want to upgrade my suspension, but would like to keep at least 7" ground clearance...

Thanks

here you go, hard to see the measurements on the rear, but you can kinda see them, the flash affected the shot, and I am too lazy to go out there and get another shot.

edit: the order of the shots, front, front, rear, rear....for your reference. These are on the drivers side.

much fun! now for some brakes!

SERIOUSLY!!!!

I am looking at rotor pad upgrades, as I am not sure i want to make the jump in cost to BBK. The only issue, I know the fronts are WRX 02-04, so that is easy, but the backs, I have no clue what they match up to. WRX rotor, but the pads are an issue I believe.

So, if anyone can tell me part numbers and what the outback brakes are, all rotors, pads, front and rear, then I will be set. Once I figure out the rears, I think I am jumping on this.

Also, does anyone know the temp rating of the OEM pads? I am thinking I want to hit the 1250F range, because I do spirited canyon driving, which is similar to track time.

OEM OUTBACK PADS/ROTORS ARE THE SUCK!!!!!!

no, I have not asked there yet....actually, never visited there.

What "vacation" pics...as for the numbers. I think I am missing something.

I have heard so many things, and I have asked LimeyDriver for updates on what he has found, but have not had a reply from him....so nothing "verified" by anyone as of yet.
