centerpunch Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Here are a few quick photos, review on car to follow in a few days. I think the car looks even better with these wheels. (Tires are 225-45-17 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.) http://awd.woland.com/nasioc/SMGTWBBS/IMG_0314.JPG http://awd.woland.com/nasioc/SMGTWBBS/IMG_0317.JPG http://awd.woland.com/nasioc/SMGTWBBS/IMG_0319.JPG http://awd.woland.com/nasioc/SMGTWBBS/IMG_0320.JPG http://awd.woland.com/nasioc/SMGTWBBS/IMG_0322.JPG
racerdave Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Hey, I like those.
SUBE555 Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Looks pretty decent. I like more of a Spec B styled wheel on the new Leggys personally as for how the spokes look. ;) But as I said, nice overall, strong too.
axis008 Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Welcome to the board! Your car looks good! I wonder how the gold STi rims would look.. maybe on a different color. -ben
goneskiian Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Very nice! Great color choice. First sedan I've seen in silver actually. Looks great! Welcome to the board! -Ian

One main reason silver is a 2nd tier color in my selection choice. Those wheels would look better on a Wagon anyhow. :D
gtguy Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Looking very good, I have to say. What are the wheel width and offset measurements on the STi BBS wheels? [edit] I answered my own question: +53 and 17x7.5, perfect for 225s. Boy, if I didn't already have my P1s, I could go for a set of those in anthracite, though such a beast doesn't exist...gold or silver only.[/edit] Kevin
agctr Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Looks fantastic, great stance too. Quick question regarding the USDM models, the JDM model doesnt come with the orange indicator lenses, just the orange light. Are you able to change this on the USDM model as I think the total orange look spoils it a bit. Any comments? on likes and dislikes
SUBE555 Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 I agree there ag. At least on other models, the orange was an added lense which is capable of being removed through a bake mod which removes the adhesives ability to bond IIRC. That is what has been done in the past at least.
agctr Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Thanks Sube, Im sure there will be aftermarket parts to change it but I just think it would look a lot better clear.
SUBE555 Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 I agree. It can even be an OE part. Oven time is fairly cheap I hear. ;)
agctr Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Sube, not sure if its me or what, but the front and back bumperbars seem to be a lot bigger as in fatter than the JDM car, is this right or is it just in the pics they look bigger?
axis008 Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 The USDM bumpers are longer and bigger, your eyes are not playing tricks on you. :) The JDM version is very short and "blunt" (Spec. B). -ben
agctr Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Thanks axis, is there a reason for this or is it regulations in the US?
gtguy Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 It is the USDM regulations, the same regulations that mandate the orange reflective addition in the turn signals at the front of the car. Kevin
SUBE555 Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 I like the USDM bumpers better, look more sleek to me. Then again, I'm just used to the look with all out other cars getting similar treatments.
Drift Monkey Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Stupid US regulations again. By the way nice wheels! I'd like to see those in gold on a white Legacy...:D
