Is there some sort of override like a little hole for an Allen wrench? so you can close it manually in case if an issue like this. Check your owners manual, some cars have it. Big vibrations (like driving over a rough road, or 6000 watt audio system) will cause the control circuit to stop the roof. It assumes that a load like that means something is stuck in the track.
