AK_GT
Bought my first LGT about a month ago, and it was about due for an oil change. The PO stated the owner prior to him had switched out the motor with a factory short block (~ 7,000 miles before I got the car). Once I got the car in the air and began unscrewing the filter (which was tight) I noticed I had made quite a few more revolutions that any of the previous suby filters I'd unscrewed. Once I got the filter off, I looked at the threaded adapter and turned it by hand until it was fully removed. I'm guessing about 3 threads held the adapter on. Anyone else have this happen to them? BAC5.2
Nope. It must not have been torqued correctly when the block was reinstalled. Torque it down, and call it good.
