thought the forester would be yours. your wife is a bad ass and you are *** lol sweet rides... did you just spray paint over the grille suby emblem on the forester?

Wife likes them like that. Her previous ride:

Her Forester does look good though.

The entire grille was painted and clear coated in our bodyshop. It was not done using spray paint from a can. I didnt want to have to redo it every couple of months so I had it done a little better.

man wish you were in LA so that i can get some paint done on my car. jeep look nice too. which one does she like better the jeep or forester

She loved the Jeep, but we are going to be having child #2 soon and that will move both kids to the sides in the rear seat rather than the one that is currently in the middle.

The jeep has terrible side impact ratings and that freaked her out so we went with a Forester.

She still wants another Jeep down the road.

What kind of rack is that on top of the Forester? I want a set up exactly like that on my Legacy wagon. Thanks.

Rack on the Forester is the Subaru Heavy Duty cargo basket with the factory rails that come on the Outbacks.

I think the cargo basket is around $200 or so.

It is made by yakima if I remember correctly. Only diff. I know of between the subaru one and yakima are who's name is on the front plate. Yakima version is probably cheaper.

The white bit on the fairing of the Outback comes off, you know...

SWP is the only color that really turns me on to the 2010+ Outback. And I really like the bug deflector!

Yes, I know the white piece comes off. We left it on because it was nearly a perfect match for the white on the Outback plus we wanted to have it be a little different from the Forester one since they were side by side in the garage.

I actually dont have the Outback any more. It was hit in the rear and traded shortly after. Replaced by a White 2011 WRX sedan.

THanks!

Wheels on the Forester are the stock 2011 Forester wheels, just painted black.

No kidding? That is a really sharp design by the Subaru folks (or whoever made them for Subaru).

In gloss black they look even better.

how much does roof basket hurt gas mileage? i should trade my wife's '08 outback sport for a new forester, then wed have a pretty similar stable of cars(nm, see you have wrx now). http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff286/chubert1/Car%20pictures%20Jan%202011/IMG_5231.jpgwhere do you get one of these? this is my 3rd subaru

thanks i was thinking of trading it in at the end of the year.might go drive a forrester.

I also loved the Forester. The only thing that stopped me was the wife and ancient transmissions in the Forester. The gas mileage would kill me because of the miles driven. The interior seemed nicer on the Legacy and the lower center of gravity helped. The ground clearance on the Forester would be handy in the winter though. That's gotta help on those limited days you get a lot of snow and the roads aren't plowed. Tough decision.
