OutbackXT05
So far no issues at all and zero oil loss. Its a noticable bit quicker than before too. Bet the headers and ebc had something to do on top of the block also.

OutbackXT05
Last time I was at the track. Only got 2 runs in due to showing up late so I didnt get a clean run. 1st run was wheel hop all of first gear into 2nd on my 255s. Second run I lowered the launch control to 4500 and bogged. But still a respectable 13.5@101.7. And I definently picked the wrong lane. I shouldve went to the 4 & 6 cylinder lane not the gear jammers. I did run a faster time than a stock terminator and ran the same time as a procharged 350z so I was happy. http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/IMG_3627_zps9316760e.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/IMG_3642_zpsa2c188dd.jpg
OutbackXT05
And the next week when I ready to go back for redemption I noticed the car was running funny again and wouldnt you know it. Theres #4 again. http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/piston1_zps8e772c25.jpg The left one is the newest the right one is from my previous motor. http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/IMG_3875_zps6a323397.jpg
OutbackXT05
This time I decided to just rebuild it myself. Warranty takes too long and I dont want to have to keep dealing with the subaru pistons. Pulled the motor out in 3 hours and 15 minutes. I was really surprised how easy it came out. Didnt even have to jack up the car while it was on stock suspension. http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/enginelift_zpse4d38c3d.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/empty_zpsad438a70.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/stand_zps3b23534b.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/engine_zpse3fd9a40.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/IMG_3830_zps3fff3823.jpg

SupraLegacy
eeek is that common for the pistons to get destroyed like that? and how was it acting funny? havent purchased my subi wagon yet but i def gotta do some research n ask around bout this Bryan C. OutbackXT05
On a 05-06 its not too big of an issue. Some have 200k plus on their oem blocks. Some have over 400whp on stock block. If everything is running good and you log frequently to catch any issue before any damage is caused it shouldnt happen. The ringlands broke off and in the pic I just removed the broken parts. In my case the cylinder walls held the broken peices in place and didnt hardly do any damage to my block. It was acting funny by having a hesitation anywhere near boost and noticably slower. Also had a rough idle. No check engine light tho. A quick datalog showed a ton of knock so I did a compression test and found 150 psi in all cylinders besides number 4 which had ~50psi. OutbackXT05
I drove around on the cranked ringlands for almost 3000 miles because I really didnt have a choice because I wouldnt be able to make it to school. It was still perfectly drivable.
