OutbackXT05
Lol gorilla Zoe got me my sound ticket. Comming from my civic and the rear view jumping all over the place i dont fear the outbacks will fall off. The safety strap is some metal cable wrapped around the 2 parts were the seats click into. And i attached 2 clips onto those and have those latched onto 2 eye bolts on the woofer box.

LosAngelesLGT
If you have DCCD, 6spd, sti heads, cams, and yes... Even that stupid wrinkle red metal manifold it would be close to badge acceptance. Not that it really matters what I think. I your car. If only I could get the wife to let me drop her OBXT.
OutbackXT05
All Id really want from a sti is the DCCD and trans. She wont even let you put oem legacy suspension on it?
OutbackXT05
More fun time. Tore the rear apart to put in some whiteline trailing arm bushings to replace the old torn squeeky ones. Gonna see if I can press those out tomarrow. Front sway bar and endlinks should be coming in next week. Then its finally time to get the last few parts for stage 3. http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/air.jpg http://i622.photobucket.com/albums/tt307/fibtlcivic/asd.jpg

And STI heads would not hurt either. I just need her to go out of town for a few days and hope she won't notice right? Want to know what the REALLY funny part is? My LGT was her DD on OEM suspension and wheels for a long time and she had no problem with it but the OBXT on oem suspension is somehow much better suited to driving IN LOS ANGELES. OutbackXT05
Lol your wife sounds like a character (no offense of course). Thats funny that she thinks the outback suspension is better. My definition of the oem outback suspension is boat. Not gonna lie i did some gas/brake/dip when i put my oem stuff back on. I couldnt resist. Its also fun to drive straight off of curbs while my friends are having trouble getting out of parking lots.

I can't tell if you did. I just installed them a couple of weeks ago. my 'thin' OEM brackets which holds the swaybar in place were a bit bent and I don't even have coilovers. So I'd strongly encourage to install them. We have the same swaybar btw.
OutbackXT05
Its on my list of things to get but havent yet. And my front sway and endlinks are comming in today. I took a corner pretty hard yester and thought it felt pretty good with the new rear trailing arm bushings (no rear sway bar attached atm though) and also since i loosened all the suspension bolts then lowered it and tightened them an that make the worlds difference on my outback since everything was tightened to outback height. It also lowered my car about 3/8 more.
xt2005bonbon
So you got a shop to press the new bushings in then?
OutbackXT05
Nope i hammered them out. I just folded the metal inward and hammered it out. Only took about 5 minutes a side to get them out.

xt2005bonbon
Im against spending money to basically cut up the rear bumper and reduce resale value. Id rather see you with a JDM obxt rear bumper kit. Its an obxt not a lgt anyhow. I love ALL your mods but just dont like the fitment of the exhaust. I suggest cutting on that exhaust not the bumper. Take it to a muffler shop. Cut off the tips. Move the hangers on the exhaust so the mufflers tuck really far up for oem fitment and get some sweet double walled oval or round slant tips with a moderate turndown so that the tips stick out just below the muffler, exhausting kind of level with the ground. Considered doing this myself but wife wanted it stealth and considered it ricey. If you want I will post a pic of my obxt magnaflow setup and the tips I cut off. Hell if you like the tips, I'll send em to you cheap I am seriously considering the Magnaflow CBE. The link you previously posted (http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/introducing-mrs-lalgts-intamous-tuned-5mt-obxt-180191.html?t=180191&highlight=introducing+obxt) does not appear to be working. I'd like to see your set up. Questions to you and OutbackXT05: 1. Is the install a breeze and the only issue the muffler tips hitting the rear bumper? 2. how's the cbe holding up against the weather elements? Any rust? xt2005bonbon
Actually, I googled your thread and found it over on subaruoutback.org (http://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/63-gallery/42659-introducing-mrs-lalgts-infamous-tuned-obxt-5mt-limited.html). I can now see how you modified the mufflers for OEM fit. On that thread, you still have not posted a video for sound. Could you provide one ? I am just curious if it sounds the same as the magnaflow set up with its original tips. Oh and a (noob) question real quick for you guys: can you confirm that installing such cbe does NOT require any tune?
