Fuel pumps

Recommended Posts

So there was a discussion about what fuel pump fit what car and the conclusion was that FWD had the 2" and the AWD had 1.5"...

I can now tell you that's wrong.

I have a 91 Legacy L AWD, I pulled the pump and it has a 2 inch with threaded connectors. To my current understanding the fuel pump options are 1.5" with a plug connector, a 2" with a plug or a 2" with threaded. Not sure what goes to what anymore but I need the 2 with threaded...

i was simply told that the tank size of the AWD and FWD were different, however i have my doubt about that being correct. I believe the 1.5" is for the turbo cars and the 2" is for the n/a, considering the 1.5" is $50 more. I have a good 2" Fuel pump with the whole assembly (fuel return pipes, fuel level meter thing) all that. It has a plug that connects to the harness and it has the 2 pipes. This pump came from a 92 Legacy L sedan that was N/A

what? why would you pay $120 for a pump that is $80 brand new? Sorry for your misfortune i run into garbage like that all the time. If you need a fuel pump i will sell you the whole assembly for cheap, and hook it up and make sure it works and all that good stuff.

It was more because it also had the strainer. Thank you for the offer. I will let you know but I have no money until I return this one.
