Scooby2.5
Well here is an update..... The motor was installed and I picked it up on Aug 26th from Cobb Plano. STI Block, STI Forged Crank, Crower/Cobb Rods, ARP Rod bolts, STI Bearings, JE Forged Pistons, STI 11mm Oil pump, Killer B P/U Tube, ARP Head Bolts I drove it home and the following Saturday put my 08 STI 6 speed, Clutchmasters FX300, DCCDpro, R180 Diff, Spec B STS, group N mounts, kartboy shifter bushings. So Car on the road and going back to Cobb for Final tune mid october.
Sublimejoe
Awesome! So glad it all worked out, I cannot wait to see the final product and see what kind of numbers you are putting out. Congrats!
Scooby2.5
Should be about the same unless I go front mount which is 350/373 whp/wtq on E85. If I go FMIC could get around 375/

derkahn
awesome man! my motor is getting built now.. for my obxt.. so now you know what you need right?.... I have heard from two experienced rally guys that this..http://www.rocketrally.com/website/index.php?option=com_oscommerce&osMod=index&cPath=39_176 (DCCD mapping ) completely transformed how well their cars handled.. of course there on dirt but I imagine it would work for tarmac as well.. I want to see some pics of the sti tranny install.. I know DCCD pro's maps are basically custom right? or he can make them custom for you pretty easily.. come out to colorado this winter and we'll get you on the ice:)
Scooby2.5
You need to read through NSFW's thread, Groff's thread and hammer downs thread in the transmission section. Everything you need to know is there for the 6 speed swap. The Dccdpro works well the limited time I have had it and I do believe Jeff Reid from DCCDpro can do some custom work to it or he has software to do that but Im not sure. It does in fact transform how your car drives, its simply amazing like in a cloverleaf getting off the highway for instance. I did not take any pictures of the tranny install per se, just a few here and there. Like I said check out the swap threads in the transmission section and you will find all you need. If that is not enough, you can PM and ask.

Scooby2.5
May eventually go Front Mount. Was going to do that before retune in mid late october but may wait until next year. Also need to finish my rear seat, had that on hold for quite some time. I want to put SSR GT2 wheels on it and found a set that are hidden away. If I can next year Ill put those on with 245/45/18 tires on it like Drewsters Outback: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v291/urabus/d415/
