pitchblende
Hi all, Car is a 1999 LGT. Last year, the rear wiper began to work only at random times. It has now failed completely. I'm going to check the fuses, but I feel that because it started to fail last year, I might need a new wiper motor. Is it relatively easy to replace this myself? Also, is there a recomemnded vendor for parts like these, or can I just go to an autoparts store? thanks in advance.
subikid90
If you are looking for the cheapest then try rockauto.com or partsgeek.com. You might even find one for dirt cheap at the junk yard. I wouldnt think it would be hard. You probably have to pull the interior panel off and you will have access to the motor. I dont have a wagon though so I am not positive. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap

Lino
Maybe its disconnected like mine, rear wippers are lame if I could figure a way to cover the hole I would throw mine in the trash.
johnegg
usually it is a broken wire in the harness where it jumps from the roof to the hatch. a little difficult to repair, but not impossible. you can do it yourself. you can test it by sending 12 volts directly to the motor.
