jeremy_w
i met an old friend at a bar last night, and we were talking, and he said he had a 2.5 out of legacy, o rsomething with 200k miles, and i figure i'd buy it, put new rods, rings, pistons in it, if the crank is good, port it a little. i know the EJ engines are nearly identical, so can i use my harness, and computer like i can in my s10 v8 swaps, or do i have to completely re wire it? jeremy_w
i have the intake mani, throttle body, even the ecu with pigtails. i may just re-ring in and put new rod bearings/mains in if pistons are okay, port the intake manifold, and heads/valve job

jeremy_w
i mean, a basic gasket to port match, nothing super major. i've ported 5 or 6 small block chevys from 327-420 ci. Now how hard would the head swap be from the 25 to the 22?
Zues Marine
not hard, and you'll be pushing more power because it'll up your compression a lot too i know you'll need the new intake mani im takin on this project here shortly as well

jeremy_w
he just bought an 2010 evo, and is parting out his wrx track car, has no title, and a hacked out vin so he wants to get what he can out of it. i noticed the 'd specs' had the same color orange ground control sleeves, with red eibach springs, like the kit though.
