Post your blacked-out headlight pictures!

Yeah. Sarcasm is hard to read on the interweb. We tend to have a closer knit "community" here than other forums. Once you hang around a bit you get to know the personalities. There are a few of us who are especially sarcastic.

Look out for Rob, he goes by rao. He is the master of sarcasm, lol.

Oh, and I hate you Aussies, just because you get the Liberty. Damn car looks so much better with that body kit. Why do I have to get closer to Japan just to get the good stuff?

Standard price for amber removal, black out, reseal is $225 delivered. You can send me yours and I will modify them. Or I have cores. Core fee is $250. 100% refundable as soon as I get your usable OEM's back.

Pix in post #13.

Cores are OEM. Used lamps from other members cars. Al lamps are resealed using Butyl Rubber, just like OEM. I then run a bead of black automotive silicone along the outside seam.

No condensation is a myth. Lamps have breathers built in for heat of bulbs to escape and moisture in atmosphere as well. O-rings on bulbs and back cap are not air tight. Lamps are not air tight from the factory. 55w HID's cause sooo much heat that they almost always cause condensation at some point.

I am not saying lamps are gonna fog up. I am just saying I can not guarantee what is going to happen to them once they leave me, and I have no idea the conditions in which they will live out their lives. Even untouched OEM lamps fog sometimes. I make them do it all the time to show customers. Just place a set in the Rhino lined bed of my truck, in the sun for 20 minutes. 90% of lamps will fog. I live 2 miles from the beach. There is enough moisture in the atmosphere to do it.

Bulbs are up to you. Keep yours, or if you want something special I have most all bulb types available.

Bump, cuz I want to DIY this myself before summer and its a cheap bang for the buck mod, plus I gotta get rid of the cheesy yellow OEM DRLs, they're really bothering me.

So lets see some that have been done since the last post in this thread in Nov 2010.

Got Halos? LEDs? HIDs? revised DRLs?

Custom headlights are a good money maker.

I was making over $1000 a week for a few hours of work over a 1.5 day period.

A lot of people in this thread should have left some of the chrome. Some cars looking cheap.

I agree. I wish I had taped off some of the chrome when I painted them. I think it would give it a little definition instead of just all black. Oh well, I'll be getting a set of stock ones before I sell it.

That's why I paid extra to have IDRVSLO do the JDM style on mine.
