nice. ive been debating on turning my subs to the front cause right now they are firing into the trunk but i wasnt sure how it would do without letting my seat down. hopefully you get up to 150. so far mysetup is just the m2000 alpine amp and two zv2 subs and stock power with a kinetik 800 in the trunk . im going to be getting me a 2400 soon ive got a higher output alt but i havent get it put in i need a smaller belt to get it put in

well i thought about getting me a 3500 sundown amp but thing is they have certain classes here that are like so many watts right now im in the 0 to 2000 watt class. but i know the class above me it goes to 5000 watts and someone is winning it with like a 148 so right now im just doing what i can win to win the smaller class ya know ive been thinking about trying to get a seat for a legacy that lay's down and modifing it to fit in mine that way i could turn the box around . but i dunno

Directing your subs towards the cab will increase db level weather or not your seat is down or not. Having it down is by far better, but you will still notice the difference. I also noticed that your box is not ported. A ported box will also be louder than a sealed, although you do loose some sound quality. But if your doing for higher decible levels then that's not a big issue right?

I have 2 12" Apline Type E subs with a Rockford Fosgate amp in my wifes leggy and it slams. I would also suggest the JL W6/W7 subs. Ive had duals of both in my Silverado and it beats pretty good as well.

oh sorry about that my box is ported. i must not have mentioned that. it does decent numbers right now i can do a 145.1 in the floor board with my box 3 inches from the closest carpet on the drivers side and about 4 inches on the passengers from the trunk it ends up giving me about .4 or .5 db that way ive been debating on reinstalling the plastic covers that hides the backs of the seats i took them out a long time ago. i was thinking about putting a layer of dynamat on them in between them and the rear seat that way it would harden the back of the seat up and it would shoot more pressure into the cab. the last competition i just went to i got beat out by a blazer with two 300 rms hifonics subs and an 1800 audiopipe amp it pulled a 148

but as soon as i get my brother to let me see his term lab again and i get the money im going to take my box out flip it around and see how that works

i would not get the w6/w7 for what you already have. the z.2 are awesome spl subs, if your looking to get numbers, make a burp box and shoot a shit ton of power to them, if you want a box design, give me the trunk size and i can come up with something, but u need more power, look at getting a rd audio d5 or d9 for whatever class u run, there cheater amps and put out some serious work at .5 ohm

If you flip the subs around to face the cabin make sure you do something to keep the trunk sealed off from the cabin. spray foam around the enclosure works wonders in conjunction with sound deadening (cringes). Pains me to say the spray foam because it makes anything a whore to remove later but when you seal off the gaps around the sub enclosure to keep the trunk separate you effectively lessen any destructive resonances that may ruin your otherwise stellar SPL numbers. Just did that in a T-Bird super coupe a week ago. Running 2 DD9512's off 3000ish watts we're getting 154's @ mid 40's in the kicks. Once there's more power and the subs have broken in properly we'll lower the tuning frequency and see if we can't rail it harder.

This is a good way of "walling off" a sedan. I'm planning on doing this in my 99 LGT.
