John M
Pretty soon they'll run out of western-themed names for them. They'll be stuck with names like the Hoboken and the Walla Walla. BTW, haven't they already done a Pontiac Montana minivan?
05GT Guru
They should make the montana ss and put a ls2 or ls3 in it. That would be badass

05GT Guru
More like El Camino (or even Ford Ranchero). Yea except the el camino once had a ls5 option, rated at 360hp but really made around 480hp in 1970. Just like the chevelle SS
executor485
Pretty sure the "Montana" was the name they had given to one of their failed vans. IIRC. Funny that they reopened the name to a hybrid truck wanna be. lol If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off.

Just like the chevelle SS IIRC, that was the LS6 in 1970. That specific combo only lasted 1 year before getting a major drop in HP. Rated at 450HP in 1970 and actually making close to 500. In '71 it dropped to around 420 or so.

I find it funny the ls6 in 1970 made almost 100more hp than it did in 02 when it came out again. Same thing with the 1970 lt1 that made 100more hp than the 93 lt1. Yes yes they had far less emmisions and mpg standards but it was 32 years later the ls6 came back but with less power.

bdisco
Jamie Ardila, president of newly established GM South America, hinted that the Montana could come to the U.S. if GM North America were interested in the product.
