brooklynadam
OK, so now that I've been talked into buying the Conti DWS extreme contact by the other Subaru owners just another question...is it true that you have to replace V rated tires with V rated tires? I'm pretty sure the DWS EXTREMEs are V rated but was curious if its a must for a 2010 Legacy 3.6...i punch it but rarely do I exceed 100 and not for very long as there aren't many places where I live to hit 100+. Normal driving is 80-80+ for maybe 40 miles at a clip.
notthesnail
Any letter rating Q (99mph) or higher will be fine, including H (130mph). Most tires that fit our cars below V (149mph) are winters, anyway. Just make sure the load rating is the same, or better, than that specified in the manual. Ozzy
They are actually rated W if you have the 3.6R.. I'm not sure if the premium or limited have different size wheels.. I got my Continental DWS all seasons yesterday and they look like pretty good tires.. Mine are the 215/45/17 XL and they are W rated..
