lranchev
Hello, I ve got a quick question... I changed my rear turn signal bulb with led one.it flashes faster which doesn't bother me but I am wondering if this can cause any electrical problem? Thanks
Draco-REX
The faster flash rate is a function of the flasher relay that tells you that there is a bulb out. The problem with LEDs is that they draw MUCH less power than regular incandescent bulbs. So when you replace a regular bulb with an LED, the flasher thinks the bulb has burnt out and switches to the fast flash mode to warn you. It won't hurt anything, though if you still have regular bulbs up front, they'll burn out faster. You can get a flasher that won't do that. I don't have the info handy at the moment, but there's a how-to that has info on where to get one and how to install it. It's pretty easy to do. chutrain
There is also someone on here that is selling the module to help with this issue.
lranchev
I thought that the reason for faster flashing is the higher current that goes true the relay... but yea it may not hurt anything but the front regular bulbs for the turn signal to burn out faster.
