whlightning
2.2 engine, and can I hook up the turbo? any issues I may run into? also I have a lead on a 90 legacy engine the guy says its a 2.4, is that correct and would it work either? I have a 93 with a 2.2 with a spun bearing, debating on rebuild vs picking up a cheap motor and hooking up turbo and going. Thanks for the advise Bryan
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted October 5, 2010 I Donated Share Posted October 5, 2010 its almost always cheaper and easier to drop in a new motor rather then rebuilding. If I spin a rod or something simular - i just replace the engine. The 2.4L is non-existent. There has never been a Legacy with a 2.4L. There are 2.5L, but I don't think the first generation Legacys (up to 95) came with a 2.5. Every one that I have seen has been a 2.2L (if its USDM) As far as just transfering your turbo setup to a N/A EJ22, I don't know what kind of problems you would run into....I'm sure that there would have to be some custom work you would have to do on it. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
