Zac88
I want to know if anyone has painted just the inside wings of the grille but keeping the chrome around the edges.
LosAngelesLGT
Many people have. It is incredibly easy/lazy to do because, unlike the faux chrome around the grill edge, the wrings come off by unscrewing them from behind. This means no masking is needed for sanding/priming/painting/clearcoat. Personally I *HATE* the faux chrome more than mid-80s hyundai with Track Auto $2.99 faux chrome wheel arches so I would do it all but the nice thing about what you are considering... If you find that doing the wings is not enough it would be easy to go back and do the rest. If you find you hate it, I am sure someone will trade you out for chrome if you do a good job. Hugo L.
I did, but it's chipping right now. I wanted to redo it, but the damn bolts on either side of the grille are rusted/seized.
