natoli4
So I have a set of stoptech fronts and was considering selling them and installing an all brembo set up. I'm thinking that would be a better Investment over a set of stoptech rears. Just wondering what everyone else thinks I should do! Really don't know which is better in the long run. Any help would be appreciated!
m sprank
If the brakes are just bling, Brembo. If you are tracking the car, Stoptech.

Meshanks07
Since you have stoptechs I would try and find rears. If you can't try and trade for a set of brembos.
m sprank
I can sell you the Stoptech rears (new). I can also sell you the Brembos (new).
mattg
Or run Brembo in the back. That's likely what I will do if I decide to go rear BBK.
hakgwai
would you lose the parking brake if you go stoptech rears?
natoli4
hmmm, Mike, let's talk on Wednesday cool? I think the rears work with the parking brake no?
m sprank
To the best of my knowledge, yes the rears work with parking brake. I am going to be installing a full Stoptech kit on the SpecB shortly. Wed it is. Since your local, I can prob meet/beat everyones prices.
GTTuner
would you lose the parking brake if you go stoptech rears? No, unless they send you the wrong rotors. I had this happen to me with a ST kit. The sent the wrong rotors and there was no drum inside.
808_lgt
Yo sprank, you get deals on just stoptech pads n rotors too? Or only the BBK?
m sprank
BBK's, pads, lines, rotors, calipers, fluids, what you need? I have it all. Stoptech, Centrix, Brembo, RacingBrake, Goodridge, Hawk, DBA, Technafit. I still have lower overhead than anyone else, so my pricing is extremely competitive. You can always shoot me a PM for a price quote.

AZP Installs
Hmm Sprank, I may need to talk to you about stoptechs for my LGT... -mike
m sprank
^ Wow. I would not have expected that. But, you guys helped me out when I was in a pinch and all my tools were in storage during the move. I would be happy to "hook you up" as a return of the favor. Shoot me a PM and I can get you a shipped quote (I will have it dropped direct from ST to save you shipping). I offer you my wholesale price, one vendor to another. AZP Installs
Cool! Yeah not sure what route I'm going with the LGT yet, so may give the stoptechs a shot. I'm going to be trying a lot of different things on my car this time around since I know the stuff that works, I want to expand our first hand knowledge (instead of the usual "Internet" knowledge) that most shops expel to their customers. If I try out stoptechs then I'll know if I can honestly recommend them to my customers. Same goes for the FMIC and bigger turbo that we have planned for the wagon. -mike

m sprank
Completely agree. I dont keep a mod list here on the site because I change parts so often. Sometimes I confuse myself, lol. But if I dont try them myself, how do I give an honest answer? Just this year I have tried 2 diff coil over set ups, 1 brake set up (going for 2), 3 or four diff springs, 3 headers, 4 uppipes, 3 downpipes, 2 turbos and more (being installed now). Lots of late nights with my car.

m sprank
If you follow my threads you can count up most the parts. I try to do at least small write ups on each. I forgot the 3 diff CBE's this year and 3 diff MAP sensors, 2 diff EBCS...
AZP Installs
Wow the collaboration of the mikes... Yup that's the beauty of running relatively local businesses. There is no direct competition so no need to be cut-throat. Collaboration leads to much better things in the end for the enthusiasts and customers. -mike
m sprank
We are 3000 miles apart. When we were 30 miles apart we got along. No need to mess things up now. I respect the work AZP does for the Tri-State community. I recommend them to anyone who can get to them.
