turbo kits for other ej25's bolt up to 99 leg gt?

If you're talking about turbo'ing an EJ25D, don't.

 

The head gaskets are already made out of paper-mache. Adding boost will just make them fail faster. As they are now, head gasket failure already affects probably 85% of all EJ25D engines from 1998-2004. If you want to make parts that will appeal to EJ25D owners, make some head gaskets that last longer than 60K miles.

 

2nd Gen Legacy's with the EJ25 generally experience head gasket failure that leaks compression gasses while 3rd Gen Legacy's usually experience head gasket failure that leaks coolant onto the ground. You don't find turbo kits for these engines because they're head gaskets are so frail that they crap the bed without even achieving 100% volumetric efficiency. Adding boost and increasing the volumetric efficiency past 100% will probably end in head gasket failure within a week of installing the turbo... Unless the owner uses custom low-compression gaskets that didn't come from Subaru......

 

 

 

 

How about a turbo kit for an EJ22? Compared to the EJ25D head gasket issue the EJ22 is cut from billet diamond and more well suited to boost. They aren't of closed deck design like the EJ22G and EJ22T, but they're still built like a brick s***house compared to the EJ25D with OEM gaskets.
