ICTM AG
I would like to know if it's possible to change from english to metric units? i just got my legacy gt and i would like to get km and celsius! i studied the manual and there was only written that the candien version has a metric display so im sure that you can switch between the units! but how:confused: only with the selectmonitor? please help me i really need km/celsius/liter and so on:D
sduford
I'm pretty sure a dealer could switch it for you. Probably just a programming thing. We have the same cars here in Canada as in the USA, and I'm sure they don't have different electronics, just the flip of a bit somewhere. I am pretty sure you can switch back and forth...but not positive.

nomoreS4
any luck switching between us and metric? On my past Audis, you could switch between metric/imperial by pressing 2 buttons simulataneously on the climate control...I've tried doing this (briefly) but never found anything that worked on the Legacy

D-2.5-GT
Unfortunetly i think i may have been smoking crack or something, because i am certainly wrong. You cannot adjust from US to metric. I think it must have been in my gf's car where i saw this. What about trying to get just the clock piece from another market? I would think you could get it from either Japan or Canada. ICTM AG
yes i think you are right but do you know how many parts i would have to change!? odometer display, ac display, boardcomputer! i don't wana know what that would cost:rolleyes: and i still think it must be possible to change the units the display only show's what the controlunit is telling to show. Could anybody of you americans ask the question to subaru america? i can not contact them because i don't life in the us so i don't have a valid zipcode and so on! would be very very cool:cool:

sduford
I'm 99% sure that it is just a computer setting, it's just that it is not available to the owner, you must need the dealer to reprogram it. I just can't see Subaru using completely different electronics for the Canadian version. pflo
i checked the display of my canadian LGT and it doesn't appear capable of displaying the degrees F or MPG icons. so it would appear that the module itself is different from the US version.
