rna_1024
OK thanks for the insight. What would be the best resistors for my brake lights. Can someone suggest what would be the best resistors for the LEDs I have purchased.
Perscitus
This was all discussed years ago, appears to only affect earlier MY cars, but look like a 2013 is affected here (strange). Either way, you can pick up one of these: https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/headlight-load-resistors/led-light-load-resistor-kit-led-turn-signal-hyper-flash-warning-fix/190/831/ And install it anywhere on just one part of the stop-light circuit (could be the left or right rear 7443s circuits or if you've done the quad-stop light mod, you can just tap the trunk 7440-7443s wire. The setup that worked best for me is: - 4x (both stock taillight 7443 position/stop/brake light sockets and the two 7440 position light sockets converted to 7443s in the trunk hatch) http://www.vleds.com/red-7443-21-led-brake-turn-signal-7440-bulbs-1-pair.html - 1x load resistor installed in-line with the stop light circuit https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/headlight-load-resistors/led-light-load-resistor-kit-led-turn-signal-hyper-flash-warning-fix/190/831/ This setup resolved all issues. When I first got the car, I could never get this working correctly. Always thought it had something to do with the way my alarm was wired since my alarm would start acting funky as well. But when i tried, I was using a resistor on both sides. So you only really need to use 1? I wonder if that's why it wouldn't work.
Perscitus
nstg8r knows even better but it has something to do with too much draw on the circuit with high-powered LEDs AND multiple resistors. I had it setup like this and kept blowing a fuse. Scaling back to just one resistor on the entire circuit AND these 4x 12.5W bulbs worked for me. jojorios
Bookmarked. I may have to revisit this at some point next year.
Nacron
I'm not running resistors for my brake lights, I only use the tap turn module to eliminate hyperblink for my turn signals Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk
GTEASER
Yeah, this isnt the place for this question. Please start a brand new thread in the 5th Gen section. And state what your issue is, you didn't indicate what it was. marcin93
Sorry for the post dig....Looking to clear out the bottom of the tail lights (white part) and it seems that I only need to change the bulb and rather than starting a new forum this one seemed appropriate. I came across the hva-21 and the v3 triton. My question is what is the difference and is the price difference worth it?
testa422
Triton is more than worth it. I have em in my front signals and they're legit almost as bright as the headlights
11boostedgt
I know I’m bumping a old thread. But does anyone have any of the connectors to go into the sockets? I have looked everywhere and can’t find them.
