outahere
Are there any specialty tools required to do routine maintenance and/or mods on the Legacy? I already have a T70 Torx bit ordered, for the transmission plug.
Xenonk
nope, not really.. well, it's good to have a set of box offset metric wrench set... other than that, a set of vice clamps for the brake calipers to push the pistons back in... Th3Franz
If you install brake lines, make sure you have all the tools you need. haha I just figured that out tonight. -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
03Indigo
a set of vice clamps for the brake calipers to push the pistons back in... Keefe I found that interesting on our cars. On old subies, they needed the caliper tools to twist and compress the pistons, but now, looks like a normal compression both front and rear. Not that i mind, the caliper tools are sometimes a pain, but not that i have the universal kit, I am all bummed that I only get to use it on friends Audi's, VW's, and my MINI;) Nothing like a good vice clamp though, that and duct tape can fix all!!! Xenonk
^+1.. it's for the 10mm flare nuts for the brake lines. a 4' iron pipe as your breaker bar does wonders. A plastic 3 lbs mallet or rubber hammer... yea, I call these MY SPECIAL tools. Keefe Keefe
