Crooked Rain 1x1 Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Hi, I am looking for the best choice of springs for my LGT sedan..I am looking to get the swift springs but after reading a couple things I heard they are harsh but I am thinking the problems are more with wagons as it seems..I was thinking of getting the pinks before but also heard that they are just not stiff enough... any other alternatives or cases that any one has Bilstein struts and after market springs? My set up right now is looking like Tein camber plates Bilsteins all around springs ... pinks or swifts or other??? Whiteline anti lift. thanks...in advance!
HarryN Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Well if you go with Swifts, here is the drop you are looking at: Lowers Legacy GT approximately 1.5" front, 1.0" rear. Here is what your car will look like with 18 inch wheels on: http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/fastwrx_2114_270137402 Granted the picture is at bumper level, but if you look at it straight on standing up, it may look slammed. If you plan on getting 18" wheels later on, get the STI pinks. They are by far the best combo with the Bilsteins.
Crooked Rain 1x1 Posted July 30, 2010 Author Posted July 30, 2010 Awesome... thats what I have heard... Im thinking that if the pinks are just a little softer than the swifts it wont be such a bad thing... I drive my car to my I snowboard about 4 days about week so I think the comfort aspect of them would be better. I have the sedan also... thanks a bunch man.
dombek2k7 Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I got a set of pinks that will work great on bilsteins.
ktmrider Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 Running Tein H-techs on my Bilstein's right now, love em. Great DD rate, even the wife-o-meter was happy!
SCSpecB Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 I dig my Swifts, great ride, not harsh at all (IMO obviously, but the GF has no complaints, neither does my 60yo father...), cheaper than Pinks which is a plus.
