Jimmy S Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 OK... so I'm looking at new wheels for the Leg/Lib(2007 GT) and am very close to pulling the trigger on some 19 x 8.5 +38 wheels! I have 235/35R19 tyres which I'm thinking will stretch onto them, but just wondering what guard modification will be needed? I am assuming that a good roll of the guards will be needed, any ideas on camber figures? will I need to flare with that size combination? Wondering if I can get away with just my TEIN springs or if I'll need to get coilovers prior to fitting the wheels!? I'm pretty set on these wheels, so will probably do whatever is required to squeeze them on!
lil_z_33 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 i got +35 on 19x8 with 235/35/19 up front...running -2 camber with no rubbing...offset in rear is 49, as the front is spaced and no rubbing...all four corners are rolled, and fronts are pulled a bit...
S0CalGT Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Jimmy S, Mine are a bit on the "extreme" side of fitment, but here's 19x8.5 ET25 with 215/35/19's (more than 2 deg camber in front and about 2 degrees in the rear - fenders rolled/ slightly pulled). http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a12/etchpee/P1014283.jpg From past experience, 235's are a perfect fit for 8.5" wheels; essentially a square sidewall as opposed to stretched or bulged. 215's were necessary for me to run at my ride height to limit rubbing. Depending on the manufacturer, I may be able to squeeze 225's, however. I hope this helps.
Jimmy S Posted July 27, 2010 Author Posted July 27, 2010 Thanks for that mate! I'm really undecided at the moment... Contemplating just painting my Ultraleggera's black and hoping that makes the look of the car that much more aggressive... I do like the wheel, and they sit fairly flush, and fit perfectly... Maybe some coilovers so I can go a bit lower and add a bit more camber will finish off the look!... But then I'd love to get a set of these wheels... Hard decision to make!...
