LegacyDan Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Does anyone know if there any way to add a cruise control system to a jdm Legacy? Im just wondering what would be needed to get it working in mine. I have a 5MT jdm sedan, it would be an interesting project to get installed and working properly!
SonicSpecB Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Have a JDM cruise control setup with instructions if you interested.

butuni Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 renewing this topic, hello people, can anyone add more information about jdm subaru adding c/c? i found this post but without pics and its hard to understand for me . i'm Georgian (not usa) and need more info . i have jdm legacy gt with si drive. is it possible? this post:Just done the cruise control install on my JDM BP5. Pretty easy tbh. Car was a factory non cruise control option. All that's needed to install cruise control is a 4 pin brake light switch, and 3x screws and the cruise control stalk (and short loom to roll connector) or button depending on steering wheel/year of legacy. I have heard however some people needed to have a Subaru select monitor to turn on cruise control function. The only downside is that there is no cruise related dash lights. Installs pretty straight forward.. Disconnect battery. Remove airbag and store face up. Centerlise and remove steering wheel, taking car not to move roll connector. Remove rear wheel trim. Cut out hole on RH side of cover. (if you look carefully on the inside you will see a outline) Install stalk onto wheel trim using only the center screw, run cable through hooks. Install wheel trim onto steering wheel, and install the remaining 2 screws. Install steering wheel and connect the airbag and cruise control stalk. Install airbag. Remove trim above pedals and remove 2 pin brake light switch. You will find the 4 pin plug taped up on the loom above the pedals. Install 4 pin brake light switch leaving 1-2mm from the pedal to the medal body of the brake light switch. Reinstall trim. Reconnect battery and enjoy cruise control
