Anyways here you go You can get them for 535$ if you guys are familiar with bing cash back which is ending july 30th. There is currently a 12% cashback on the website. http://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/77A5437A3710464.aspx?kc=MERCJEL&mr:referralID=24212f86-9463-11df-a1bc-0026b95a1738
wungun1 Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 It says they are sold individually, for $608 each?! If the set is $608, that would be great, if it's actually for our cars. I was thinking of getting the Koni inserts (if not coilovers), these would do the trick.
06wrxlbart Posted July 21, 2010 Author Posted July 21, 2010 Good catch ill give them a call tomorrow afternoon.
m sprank Posted July 21, 2010 Posted July 21, 2010 Ran the HTS on my 5EAT. Great struts for the money. I paid about $575 new (for all four, lol).

m sprank Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Just pulled them off my 08 LGT 5EAT and sold them to another member. He installed them on his LGT. Mine was rear ended and is being parted out. Used the Tokicos with Sift springs.
Irimis Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 That reads to me as 607 each set. If it was each spring they would have a selection for which spring you wanted rear/front before adding to cart.
06wrxlbart Posted July 22, 2010 Author Posted July 22, 2010 Any of you guys familiar with Bing cash back program? THey are offering 12% cashback which makes them 535$
wungun1 Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Any of you guys familiar with Bing cash back program? THey are offering 12% cashback which makes them 535$ I've heard of Bing but never tried it. I did on a search on the Tokico HTS and from what I hear you need to buy spec-b top hats to get these to fit, which probably means you will also need saggy butt shims for the rear if you want a level stance. I may go with the Koni's for my rallitek springs cause I like the drop, I don't want to add more height.
m sprank Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 Yes. The Tokico are JDM. So they are designed around the JDM car. The JDM car uses SpecB top hats. So, you need SpecB front top hats with the struts. On my ride, I used 3/8" saggy butt shims to even out the stance. Drop was perfect (for me). The Konis are nice. Some people dont want to deal with cutting apart the front struts to install the inserts. The Tokico are bolt in.

I dont understand what weight will you be adding ? Spec B top hats will replace your GT top hats and rear shims cant weight more than .5 pounds hehe.
m sprank Posted July 22, 2010 Posted July 22, 2010 He said height, not weight. LOL. Its all in the springs on height. If the springs car aggressive in drop then the car will sit the same height as a less aggressive spring. Be weary of rear travel. Some springs (without shims) leave very little travel. Almost riding on the bump stops. This gives a very poor ride.

mightyS Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 I have the Tokico HTS struts with the Swift springs. The sedan does not need saggy rear spacers. Mine is level without them. Drop is listed by Swift at 1.25 in front and 1 in rear. The Spec B top hats add .25 to the front so the springs are level. These are adjustable struts so you will need the rear remote adjusters. The front ones are easy to reach, but not rear ones. I had the tops of the adjusters come through the trunk liner. To help with the lowering, I also bought Whiteline's roll center kit. It is a huge improvement over stock and helped me cut seconds off my laps in autocrosses.

I'm guessing otherwise you would need to remove the liner each time to do an adjustment.
06wrxlbart Posted July 23, 2010 Author Posted July 23, 2010 Guys I found a better deal on KONI strut inserts! Ill post later.
m sprank Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 No. Just push it aside. Problem is he has on 05. Hard to get to that part of the trunk without laying in it. In my 2008 the rear seats drop completely and you can just sit on the back of the seat and adjust. In a car that only the ski hole drops I would recommend the extended adjusters. If you want the car to have equal fender gaps front and rear (it does not from the factory, front sits high) then you need shims. If you are fine with the look OEM, you will be fine with the look dropped. I was not.
mightyS Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 In my 2008 the rear seats drop completely That would be handy. I wonder why the 05 didn't have the fold down seats.

Subaru is backed up in technology My 2002 nissan altima had rear fold down seats! Example Subaru still wants to install the 5EAT into the new STI A-Line. WTF DUALCLUTCH!
