I got into a accident and I told him to get me the GT hood and he ordered it aftermarket but it didnt come with the part in the middle and the place he ordered it from doesn't have it.

Does anyone know anywhere they sell it ?

i wouldnt go to a body shop that puts on aftermarket or non oem parts on my car. i dont know if the gt hood would cost more cuz of the hood scoop but tell them you would pay the difference from what the insurance gave them for the hood

Thing is I was trying to save money and my deductible was $1000. He told me all I gotta give him was $300-400. I had to pay for the other dudes damage and I have bills to pay on top of that.

But yeah do they even sell that part by itself ?

I just took mine off my car to clean it / install this:

There are 3 pieces to the scoop bezel.

1) the part you see on the outside

2) The metal brace with the directional angles to move the air down (and not see into the actual engine)

3) The rubber surround that goes over the metal brace on the underside of hte hood.

bonus: you need 4 screws, 1 plastic screw/expanding socket, 12 push plastic tacks, and oh yeah, you have to put the hood liner on between the brace and the rubber thing...

I don't have the part numbers... I didn't look. If you go to any dealership, they will have a blow-out picture of the entire GT limited hood... complete with part numbers, fasteners, etc. I've asked before.

Hope it helps.

P.S> The hood bezel has 4 unique screws/nuts to hold it down, + 1 plastic popit that has a screw hole in it too... you best hit up the stealership.

Soda, Thanks for the info.

Found this out yesterday. I thought it was just the hood scoop.

It's gonna cost me $470.

I would of just kept the normal hood If I knew that.

The hood parts are the same for all years from 05-09... Here is a snap shot of the part number and years and models of the part I am talking about(circled in red).

Unless you have an intercooler under there (TMIC, specifically), you can just do:

Part: 90821 with all the fasteners.

The only drawback is that if you look closely you can see into your engine.

Hopefully that can save you money. You won't need 90817c I don't think.

^ well you could but the in coming air would not be directed to the innercooler as well.
