BanzGotBoost Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Hey guys, thought I'd throw this on the forums and see if anyone has ever bought one of these, and if so how are you liking it? Seems like a steal for the price. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Subaru-Outback-Legacy-GT-Grille-05-06-grill-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem563dd2b7ddQQitemZ370404407261QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories
mclarenf3 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Keep in mind it's ONLY the grille. You'll have to modify your grille assembly for this to work (ie: cut out the wing and emblem, and then place this mesh grille inside it).
BanzGotBoost Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 interesting, is that how it is if u get em from rommel or rrev?
c1688 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 interesting, is that how it is if u get em from rommel or rrev? No, their whole grille is made from scratch
AJW Performance Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 Ther RREV is worth the extra IMO, like mclarenf3 said that ebay sale is just for the mesh part, then you modify your grill to fit it, the RREV comes with the entire setup...
mclarenf3 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 When you buy any of the ones that come with everything, it saves you a lot of headache. You simply swap your current one for the new one (which takes no more than 5 minutes)You keep the old one for that day when you wanna sell/trade your car and the buyer has no interest in your "mods"Or, you sell your old one to people like me who modified their stock grilles.
E-Tank Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 RRev FTW. http://i555.photobucket.com/albums/jj457/erictankel/SDC10886.jpg
SneakyFast Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I went the ebay grill route. It was pretty easy to put together. I liked the flush look of the ebay grill a little more than the recessed mesh in the rommel and rrev http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1522138&postcount=10
phuzaxeman Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 http://legacygt.com/forums/vbpgimage.php?do=full&p=5130&d=1276400496 I went the ebay route. if you have some time, you can save money and have some fun making your grille.
peteyjr Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 I used this same company a while back to do my lower grill on my WRX. Fit and finish were not good, I had to do alot of trimming to get it right. All you get is a mesh and foam outer liner.

The wings are removable without cutting anything. I did have to cut the center hub down to be flush with the rest of the grille. http://legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=70465&d=1247275206
