NSFW Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 There's generally two ways to help knock - add fuel or reduce timing. It would help to know what the AFR is when the knock happened. AFR from a wideband would be ideal, but AFR from the stock sensor would be better than nothing. Or you could just pull a degree or two from the RPM/Load points where it's knocking.
SonicSpecB Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Ok pulled 2 degrees average across the knocking rpm/load from KCA maxA table. Why isn't my boost where it suppose to be(14.7) and why doesn't the FBKC change under WOT since i'm knocking.
NSFW Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 There are RPM and Load ranges where the different knock strategies are enabled (FLKC, FBKC, IAM). If you're in a range where FLKC is enabled, the ECU will use that instead of FBKC. Unless load is changing rapidly, in which case it will prefer FBKC. More info here: http://www.romraider.com/RomRaider/HowToUnderstandKnockControl Lots more info here; http://www.romraider.com/RomRaider/Articles Dunno about the boost problem. If IAM drops low enough, boost will be cut. Or you might have a boost leak. Were you at 100% throttle when you saw the low boost?
SonicSpecB Posted July 12, 2010 Author Posted July 12, 2010 Why isn't my boost where it suppose to be(14.7) Does this log for boost look good except for the lower IAM due to knock.romraiderlog_20100712_075452.csv
