What do I like about this ? ..............the wheels. (which are very similar to what I got on my '07). That's about it.

Edit : They also integrated those friggin gi-nor-mous truck wheel wells into the front bumper. They look a little better.

(Seriously speaking.......what the hell was Subaru thinking with those damn wheel wells ! )

Do it right the first time.........or don't bother doing it at all.

Only in Japan? GOOD.

I looked up 'ugly' in the dictionary, and there was a picture of the wagon.

Sad.

Put whatever you want on it....you can't fix that design....

You and me are soooo on the same page !

(We can hope for better things in 2015 ! )

This is almost exactly what I want to build, except starting from an '11 GT.

Recipe:

Buy 2011 GT

Add Rota Gravel wheels

Blackout headlights

Blackout grille

Aftermarket rear sway bar

Foglights are standard on the '11 GT.

Other than the front lip spoiler and the turn signals in the mirrors, it is the same car from an appearance standpoint. The only thing I'd be missing would be the upgraded shocks. Not bad.

Hi Stingray

You're still gonna need to drop the car or the wheel well gap will

destroy the entire look!. I think its the best Legacy I've seen !

Indeed!

and don't worry- my '07 will still look great until 2015...

I'm with you guys. I'm good with my '05 until they get their s#$& together and bring back a manual wagon. Unless Audi beats them to it and brings the new S4 Avant to the US. I'm quite sad about all the cool sports wagons that have gone the way of the dodo in the US. Stupid 'mericans and their taste for bloated oversize vehicles!  :D;)

God dammit Subaru. Just... God dammit.

All right Subaru, maybe you didn't hear me. I said:

- Legacy STI. That means built by STi, not tuned by STi.

- ~320 HP or more.

- Sell it in the US.

- 6 speed manual, obviously.

You did listen about the WR Blue part though apparently, which is great. And the wagon part, which I love. I would buy a real STi wagon in a hot second. Are you listening Subaru? ONE SECOND. I would call my local dealer TODAY.

But even if you brought this Ts version to the US, I wouldn't buy it. For around $40k (probably) it still has the same drivetrain? Do I look like I have "sucker" written on my forehead? Wait, don't answer that. The point is, make a real Legacy STi, sedan and wagon, and sell them in the US.

God dammit. Now I'm probably going to have to get a 2011 WRX STi instead. Or I'm just going to hold on to my kickass 05 GT.

:spin:

2010 guys, simply put pinks+bilsteins on your GTs and there you have it - JDM 2011 Legacy STI.

I wouldn't buy it here. Sure they would slap a crazy premium on what essentially is regular GT with suspension mods, slightly modified front end and bunch of STI badges. Lame.

2005 LGT Wagon Limited 6 MT RBP Stage 2 - 248K

2007 B9 Tribeca Limited DGM - 258K

SOLD - 2005 OB Limited 5 MT Silver - 245K

SOLD - 2010 OB 6 MT Silver - 205K

+1

what a waste. they only need to make 600, no one will buy them for that little done for that much money. they need the sti's boxer at least. subaru needs some ridiculous motor for a legacy sti (not saying that the sti's boxer is ridiculous). supercharged flat 6 anyone? :spin:

Except for the 05 Legacy/Outback, every new design Subaru makes I have to take about a year to "adjust" before I like the look. I am just not getting there though. Ever since they diverted from the 3rd gen, I'm just not liking it much. Sti badges or no - that is one ugly car. I like the blue wagon better, but still an ugly front end.

I guess I'll just have to suffer with my True STi until Subaru figures out how to make a pretty Legacy again. Oh darn! :)

It must just be me but newer cars nowadays are just getting uglier and uglier every year and every generation. I like my old cars better.

These cars look like they are suppose to have wings and fly through the air or something. hahaha

Here's the new generation of the 240sx

Newer gen's do get uglier, for the most part. The pic's that you posted are mostly concept's/project vehicle's. They don't make it to the showroom as ugly as the concept's are. I do agree with you though. I will stick with my '06 for a while at the rate Subaru is going with new gen's
