BileHazard
I did my first oil change the other day and noticed I didn't have the protective cover that one has to remove to access the oil filter. I'm assuming the original owner probably had his car serviced at a shop and the shop just got lazy and never put it back on. My 2000 Subaru Legacy never had the cover either. At the time I bought the car I was living in an apartment so I also went to the shop to get the oil changed. Not sure if the 2000 model ever came with a protective cover though Not sure if the cover is "protecting" anything much though. I prefer it not being there anyways
apexi
I'm the only owner on my car, and mine does not have one either.
